2015 Dry Rosť, California - Forth Vineyards
Inspired by the deliciously dry (non-sweet) Rose's created in Provence, this delectable 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah was fermented off-skins in stainless steel. And, while it is a perfect spring and summer sipper, Rose' is season-less and absolutely delightful all throughout the year..
Opening a bottle of this wine is like a quick trip to Provence. It is an equal blend of pinot noir and syrah juice, fermented slowly and then aged in stainless barrels until the acids soften. It is bone dry, yet it is gentle and perfectly balanced, offering up fresh strawberries and cream, and the ability to transport one to the splendid Cote d'Azur with just one sip...yes. please!!

2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, "Rebecca's Vineyard," Dry Creek Valley - Forth Vineyards
High in the steep, sun-washed, rocky vineyard named for our daughter, Rebecca, the vines struggle, producing low yields and small berries. The resulting wine is elegant and sophisticated, complex, and immensely pleasurable.
Our very first wine was made from this vineyard in 1998. The vineyard is showing its age these days, with the most recent harvest yielding only 2 tons from nearly 2 acres. However, the wines it creates are more beguiling than ever. This deeply-hued beauty expresses itself in lovely black cherry notes and is redolent of the briary, leafy, forest floor after a rain; reminiscent of the wines of the better Bordeaux Chateaux.

2005 Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5 Litre (Magnum) Rebecca's, Dry Creek Valley - Forth Vineyards
As the wine begins to open in the glass, it gives up fragrances of blackberry, dark brandied cherry, toasted almond, with hints of spearmint. One sip allows those luscious blackberry and cherry notes to burst to burst onto the palate, followed by bright red current, toasty oak, and supple, fine-grained tannins. With wonderfully balanced acidity, this wine was created to be paired with food, and while this vintage is a lovely ingenue and approachable now

2013 Merlot, Dry Creek "Histoire" Chapter 5 from Forth Vineyards
A few months ago a highly-regarded sommelier stopped by for a barrel tasting of the 2012 vintage. As we plunged the thief into the barrel, we explained that this wine is only used as a part of the ALL BOYS Cab blend, but after a sniff, swirl, and taste, his response was, " You've got to bottle this wine...it's amazing!" Sadly, the 2012 has sold out, but the newly bottled 2013 is following in its predecessor's footsteps. All who have been fans of the 2012 histoire chapter 5 will not be disappointed! This vintage opens with lush, ripe blueberry, dried cherry, a slight hint of newly turned earth, and finishes with length, balance, and nicely rounded tannins....mmmmagnificent! 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet from the famous 'BOYS' blocks.

2012 Syrah - Dry Creek Valley, Forth Vineyards
The wine opens with rich, dark plum and blackberry notes, mingled with espresso, saddle leather, smoky meats, and freshly baked bread. Fine, well-integrated tannins, a silky, supple mouth-feel, and balanced acidity make this one of our favorites to pair with winter braises and roasts as well as with savory barbecue as the weather warms. Delightful now through 2018, and then continuing to improve through 2020.
