2007 Chardonnay, Russian River Valley - David Noyes Wines

This wine opens with initial impressions of citrus and ripe apples underscored by aromas of fresh baked bread, with hints of caramel and vanilla. In the mouth, the wine opens into a full-bodied, lively, expression of Chardonnay fruit, supported by richer flavors of caramel and butterscotch. One sip invites another, and should for many years to come.

2005 Chardonnay, Bacigalupi Vineyard, Russian River Valley - Macrae Family Winery

This Chardonnay comes from the prestigious Bacigalupi Vineyard on Westside Road in the Russian River Valley. The wine is 100% barrel fermented (22% new oak), and spent 14 months sur lies, with 85% malolactic fermentation.

This Chardonnay gives the refined impressions of mineral, creamy pears and summer garden floral notes, with a bright middle palate and a long and luscious finish.

2005 Chardonnay, Carneros, Napa Valley - Cuttings Wharf (SL Cellars)

This Chardonnay was barrel fermented utilizing natural wild yeast and aged sur lies in 100% new French Oak for 10 months. Stirred to increase the yeast contact and add richness to the mouth-feel, the wine completed its secondary, malolactic fermentation in the barrel as well. Only a light filtration before bottling was necessary to retain rounder flavors without any bitter aftertaste. The result is a combination of aromas and tastes that remind of sweet Meyer lemons, creme brulee, pear compote and warm biscuits.

Price: $25.00 Siblings Clubs: $21.25 / Generations and Most Favorites Clubs: $20.00
